Your letter of the 4" inst, was forward awaiting my return to Montgomery. 

I have at presents no functions under the Military Bill.  If I should have any I will give your recommendation a respectful consideration.

I will take pleasure in writing to the Huntsville and Washington Committees to have you relieved they they are relieved themselves.  I make no doubt you will be included among the first who are so favored.
