McKinstry Hon Alex.
Mobile Ala

Dear Sir

Your letter of March 2" came here during my absence, and a press of business since my return has somewhat delayed my reply.

While I have truly kind feelings towards Mr Forsyth, I prefer not to enter into this matter of dispensing patronage among newspaper publishers in Mobile, which I understand is entirely in the hands of Mr McPherson, the Clerk of the House of Representatives.

With kind regards to yourself,
I am very Respectfully
Your obdt servant
