Judge of Probate Tuskegee Macon Co Ala Sir Your of the 13th inst. relative to the petition of Ben Hugely for the insurance of a writ of habeas corpus for the recovery of his children, is received The Asst Commissioner directs me to say that from the facts stated it would appear that the children in question belong of right to the Mother but at this distance from the parties it is impossible to give decision in individual cases. These must be decided by the respective Judges in accordance with the laws of Alabama modified by such rules and orders of a general character as may be issued from this office.
