of the Bureau at Mobile Ala, a letter was written to Capt Gurison inquiring if he could, with proper clerical force, perform the duties of Bureau Q.M. in addition to his present ones. He replied expressing his willingness to do, but that his acceptance of such position, from request might create perhaps some dissatisfaction, and in the event of his being charged with this additional duty he would consider it of material importance to have the concurrence of those immediately interested in such change. You are the only one immediately interested whose objections would have might, and the Asst Commissioner therefore directs me to inquire if there are any objections to such change, and to request you to make such suggestions as you may deem advisable in the matter.
Very Respectfully
