issued to Refugees and Freedmen in the month of July are received. In the Refugee Report you show that while you had an "aggregate" of 5, with an "aggregate last report" of 6, you issued but 5 full rations which is evidently incorrect as it would show that but one ration, (as a days allowance) had been issued to each person for an entire month. The same error occurs in the Freedmens Report when with an "aggregate" of 59 and an "aggregate last report" of 53 rations were issued. The number of persons to whom corn and bacon whether derived from the Government or Benevolent societies must not appear on these Reports. since an issue of Corn and Bacon, or either, is not a ration

In your Monthly Report of Rations issued to Freedmen you omitted to account for the difference between the "Aggregate" and "Aggregate Last Report" The Omission was supplied at this Office by dropping 7 in the Column "Discharged". Such difference must hereafter be regularly accounted for.

Major

The following error and omission are noted in the Reports of Rations issued to the Refugees and Freedmen in July (made by Lt Logan) - Report of Refugees. The five columns from "Total number of men" to "Aggregate Last Report"

inclusive were not filled and the difference between the numbers reported in June and July were not accounted for. Report of Freedmen Column "Total Sick" should be 139 instead of 141. Column "Total number of men" should be 57 instead of 58 and total number of woman 46 instead of 47. In the column of Gain "Received" and "Total" should each be 13 instead of 10.

Captain

The following errors are noted in your Report of Rations issued to Freedmen in July, Male children sick are shown to be 16 1/2 and female children sick 15 1/2. It is presumed that this statement is made by counting each child as one half. This is incorrect. They must be counted adults in order that they may check with the Grand aggregate. This will also change the Columns of "Total Sick" - aggregate First Class "Total number of children and "aggregate" and will also render a change necessary in the Column of Gain.

The following error is noted in your Report of Rations issued to Freedmen in July. The value of rations issued to First and second classes is in each case stated total $815.20 and the Total value of rations issued is not given. It is presumed that the amount above stated in the "Total value."
