In reply I am directed to say that all instructions from this Office as to the sale or removal of Colonel Wickershams crop have been removed and that your proper recourse is under the Civil law. Major Yours the 18th inst. relative to transfer of ex rebel Commissary building in Demopolis to the Society of the Episcopal Church there is received. In reply the Asst. Commissioner directs me to say that owing to the extraordinary conduct of the District Judge in assuming or attempting to assume control over said building no definite action can now be taken.
