Mr. Reuben Allison of Macon Co is hereby authorized and permitted to retain in his custody and use animals now on his farms, marked as the property of the United States and placed under my control by order of the Secretary of War appended hereto.

It is known at this office that a Freedman named Isaac Carlton while he was a slave, bought a certain lot of land, known as the Brick Yard
