Ga & Ala Macon Ga April 8" 1867 Respectfully returned through Head Quarters Dist of Ala to Bvt Capt P E O'Connor 1" Lieut & A.C.S. who is hereby authorized to make a contract for supplying fresh beef at his Post for eight months beginning May 1 1867 If it impractical to invite bids by advertising Lieut O'Connor will have written notices posted in conspicuous places so as to give all parties an opportunity to compete. A copy of the contract when completed will be forwarded to this office

14 Office Sub Asst Commsr Mobile, Ala April 5 1867 Respectfully forwarded through Chf Med Officer B.R.F. & A.L. Montgomery div. The facts as stated within are true but no means are provided in the Bureau requisitions by which a public Horse can be furnished a Contract Surg. The Q.M. at this Station has no horses for Bureau purposes. If there exists any means of providing the transportation I would strongly recommend that the request be granted.
