Whiting of 5th Inft be relieved from duty in the 3rd west Dist and endorsed to join his regiment that he may be available to Bvt Brig Genl Thos Duncan for the duties of A.A.A.G. or that 2nd Lieut NW Barber 34th Inft be left with him the 34 Inft is now serving in Miss George H Thomas Major Genl U.S.A. Huntsville Ala April 27th 1867 Respectfully forwarded with the information that the supplies within refined to were purchased in open market and delivered in the month of Feby. 1869 to the Supt of Freedmens Bureau at this place in fulfillment of a Special requisition copy herewith inclosed and not paid for by me by reason of the chief Q.M. of the Dept of the Trea referring to furnishing funds for such disbursement. Huntsville Ala April 27th 1867 Respectfully returned with the information that the supplies within referred to were received as stated and conserved in this office and the Freedmens Hospital at this place. They are taken up on my Quarterly statement 1st quarter 1867 as "recd from officer" A one was issued to offices of the Army on duty in this Bureau to supply this regulation allowance.
