G 125 Endorsement on letter of Br Maj J Gillette
Office Sub Asst Commr Mobile Ala Feby 21 1868
Respectfully forwarded to the Asst Commr State of Alabama submitting the following for consideration. The within named stores. Wagon Ambulance. Hamers &c. are actually in pieces from Age and hard usage. In my opinion they are not worth the cost of freight from here to Atlanta Col Reynolds A.Q. [[?]] at Mobile will have a sale of unservicable stores about March 10th It is respectfully suggested for the interests of the service that the within stores be ordered to be inspected by the Post Comd. with a view to turning in for sale here. I will at once ship mules and servicable stores as ordered by Cir No 10 but await the return of these papers regarding the worthless articles. They are on my recount as serviceable.

W99 Endorsement on letter of C.A. Woodward
Office Sub Asst Commr. Mobile Ala Feby 22. 1868
Respectfully reforwarded. The facts as I understand them as stated in the Cashier's letter are that he has leased the building for $100.00 per month and only receives $25.090 for such letting this leaves $75.00 per month for the Bank to pay. I am unwilling to sign vouchers for over $50 a month without orders as that has been the amount heretofore established but if orders establish the rule that the Bureau pay all the rents of freedmens banks I shall certainly hereafter subscribe to a voucher for $75.00 as I believe the Bank is now under that expense. The rent is undoubtedly too high but the lease was made before rents were reduced.
