Respectfully returned to the Sub Asst Commr of Demopolis Ala. who will direct Mr. Yordy to the return at once to his station. It is not credited that his life is endangered by remaining there. Troops will be stationed at Tuscaloosa for this emergency and will be continued there.

No authority having been given by the Asst Commr for his employment as Agent subsequent to Oct 1867 he cannot be paid for services rendered since that date.
