Too much can cannot be taken in recommending the action to be taken by the asst Commr that no injustice may be done to either party see endorsement Sub Asst Commr May 28 1868, attention is also invited to date of receipt of the order at Selma and that of the request for the revocation of the same July 13 1868 any delays in the execution of orders should be reported giving reasons therefor. The endorsement order of June 2 68 from this office will not be carried into effect.

The property can be submitted to him for Inspection should their be a deficiency as per invoices Col Beecher will constitute a board of Survey and the order covering the Board issued on his return to his station

Respectfully returned to Lieut Wierman U.S.A. Sub Asst Commr. Eufaula Ala with the information desired in brief 
1st Any person without regard to Color can enter 150 acres of Govt Lands in this State upon subscribing to an oath to hear two forth and allegiances to the U.S. and that the lands is entered for cultivation as a homestead and not for purpose of speculation
2nd They can be entered at the land offices at Mobile for Southern Dist Montgomery for Middle Dist Huntsville for Northern Dist.
3rd Lands cannot be purchased as all the public lands have been withdrawn from Market in this State Lands Can only be entered under the Homestead law cost of entering a homestead & 14.00
4th Pamphlets containing all information regarding the laws regulating the disposition of public lands of the U.S. can be obtained by making applications to the Commer of the US Land Office at Washington D.C.

Respectfully forwarded to Maj Genl O. O. Howard Commissioner Washington D.C. approved and recommended Peter Ulrick is now dependent upon the Government and will continue so unless he can be sent to his friends, whom he has satisfied the Asst. Commr are able and willing to take care of him.
