States that Garrett Minor (Col'd) wishes to have his sons John Albert and Eddy returned to him as he needed their assistance in his declining years. When last heard from they were living with Dr Pritchard Supt. of a Cotton Factory at Mobile. Transmitted to Maj Gillette with a letter for Minor Boys March 27 1868 |

| May 15th 1867 71 | Mobile Times The (Newspaper) | Publishes account of the robary and assaulting on the night of the 27th of April 1867 of Mr Fred Peters of that neighborhood by some negroes. |

| May 15th 1867 72 | Michael Wm (Colored) Corinth Miss May | States under oath that during the year 1868 one F M Devines resident of Pulaski, Giles Co. Tenn. became indebted to him to the amount of $200 in gold a receipt was given for the money to his wife who was living with M Devins. Plaintiffs wife died during the year 1862 The receipt fell into the hands of said Devines in August 1865. Said Devines acknowledged his indebtness in the presence of Captain Hall Bureau Officer and promised to pay plaintiff when he sold his cotton Captain Hall was relieved and the case fell into the hands of one Jackson thence to R Caldwell who turned the papers over to Lieut Jones Bureau Agent at Courtland Ala, whose receipt for the same is enclosed. states that Devines has removed to Courtland, Ala. is doing well and able to pay the note. Respectfully submits the case for investigation |

Ala, requests instructions whether he shall act in the case. |
