Office Sup't R., F. & A. L.,
Sub-District Huntsville, Alabama,
Dec 5th 1865.

Col,
On my return I found Capt Clark waiting for me with apparent anxiety. I find on further investigation that, he did not buy the first shipment of cotton 9 bales from here, and 44 from Decatur, in all 53 bales. His purchase includes the remnants of cotton on the Decatur & Huntsville farms and Tunell Hill in Town.
The amount in this district would be Decatur 86 bales Huntsville 4- in all 90 bales with all the cotton still on both places.
