Sir,
We the undersigned venture to trouble you to assist us in our Extremity not knowing what to do but hoping that you will be so kind as to comply with our request if it is in your favor to do so. We are young Ladies Refugees from our houses - one from Virginia the other from Kentucky and we wish to return to our houses - the one to Charlottesville, Va. and the other to Danville Ky. It will be very inconvenient for us to have to stop on the way to get transportation from Point to Point in the Route as we will be without Escorts - and we Earnestly Entreat you to give us transportation through to our respective homes we would not
