Barbour Co Ala Sept 1st. 1865 To Brig Genl Wager Swayne Asst Comr. Bureau Refugees Freedmen &c Sir, The undersigned one of the Justices of the Peace in Beat No 15 in Barbour County & state of Alabama, do hereby signify my acceptance of the office as Agent of said Bureau for the administration of Justice in said cases as may come under my jurisdiction as provided for in Section 7 Genl Order No 7, as referred to in your order dated as Montgomery Ala August 4" 1865 & hereby agree to discharge faithfully the duties thereof Have the kindness to to send me instructions to Eufaula care of J Hardiman Justice of the Peace & I can get them Witness my hand on the day & year above written D B Easterling JP [[Strikethrough]] [[?]]
