Colonel: I have the honor to report that several cases have come before me from Lowndes and Autauga counties, which are not in my District.  Benton a large village of Lowndes, and Mulberry C. O. village of Autauga, are respectively but ten and sixteen miles from here, and the residents think they should naturally come here, rather than go three times the distance to Montgomery.  I presume, however, that no such invasion of a neighboring jurisdiction will be allowed.  At least I hope I shall be approved in compelling all to be governed strictly by the district boundaries.
