a planter, he had been engaged in negro trading- He further states that as he is informed, his house & lot was rented by Maj Goodfellow to the present occupant, by a verbal order from Gen Fisk to Maj Goodfellow by the said occupant~
Your petitioner is now a man advanced in life with a large family to provide for, having lost the larger part of the means which he once had, by the incidents & losses of the war - HIs family are without house or home and he ask that this petition may be in kindness considered justice done in the premises and his property restored to him

I can state posatively that Thomas M Moseley did not abandon his House & lot in Huntsville Ala I among other of his friends advised him to go to his plantation in Mississippi to look after his property and he did rent his House out to D A Brown
