The proceeds of the farms will amount in all to over $30,000. Beside the cotton sale which will amount to some $2000 more. In all there will be, not less than thirty thousand dollars of revenue from the plantations for the benefit of the Bureau In case the whole matter is properly disposed of.
That Capt Clark has any intentions to take advantage of any one I do not believe, But I recommend that the officers in your department be allowed to dispose of the business falling within the bounds of your Capt & make proper returns of some, & not have it done by those from another District.
