The clothing was delayed some days on account of Col. Burr's receiving an order from the Q. M. General to sell. This required some correspondences before shipment.

I am slowly recovering - have not been able to get out of doors as yet, but expect to be with you by the first of January.

I received, on your kind application, an extension of my "Sick Leave" for thirty days - from the Adjt Genl's office. It expires on the 18th inst but I now think that I will be able to return to duty by January 1st, and will not apply for farther extension. I am very anxious to get back.

I have the honor to be General.
Very Respectfully
Your Obt. Servt.
Thos. J. Kerr
Capt & A.Q M.
