Your letter by Mr. Wyatt has been received, in which you suggest the propriety of availing myself of his experience and knowledge in the value of the captured property, consisting mostly of iron, now advertised to be sold by me for the benefit of the Freedmens Bureau.  I am anxious to obtain as good a price as possible for the property, and have gladly availed myself of his services.  He will immediately proceed to Selma and other places to inform himself as to its value etc etc, and also look after any other property that have have been overlooked by my agents.  I have recently directed one of my agents Mr Duval to go to Montgomery and communicate with you, and learn your wish in relation to the disposition of all captured property in my possession.  I will be pleased to have the benefit
