The College is now, in plain English, occupied by a pack of thieves - Twenty thousand dollars would not repair the damages of the last four months, & these little dirty Schoolmasters, & mistresses , are gradually ruining all the beautiful wax models &c &c that I spent a Year, & between $30,000 & $40,000 in Europe collecting - !

Mr Forsyth & others who have met you, think of you as a gentleman, one of intelligence & education, who would find nothing but disgust for such conduct. & I hope you will therefore pardon me for the strong language I have used.

I have been so outraged by this I & other similar matters, that I am hoping to save enough from the [[?]] of my property to get out of a "Free Country"
