Sir in accordance with Gen. Orders. No. 7 as published by you on the 4th day of August Last it becomes my duty as a magistrate of the county of Macon to give my assent as to my acceptance of said appointment.

I wrote to your department about the time your Gen-Order was published; I know not whether my letter of acceptance was received;  On yeastody I was notified by the Probate Judge of this County that I had better give notice to you of my acceptance of said appointment.

This therefore is to [[strikethrough]] info [[strikethrough]] inform you that I accept your appointment of Office of Assistant Com - Bureau of Refugees. freedman. and abandoned Lands;
