Sir: There is on file in the Freedmens Bureau, at this place, an entry of which the following is a copy - Viz; - "Treasury Department Office, Assistant Special Agent. Huntsville Ala, April 7th 1865. Property seized this day as abandoned or confiscable. All the real Estate in and about the city of Huntsville, Ala, including all the Land, Buildings, and all the appurtenances thereto belonging - belonging to one P Walker, absent within the enemy's lines, and whose property is seized as abandoned and confiscable under the Regulations of the Secretary Treasury, offered July 29th 1864"

This return is construed by Major Goodfellow, Asst Comissioner at this place, as enforcing my real estate in this county. I respectfully state that I was pardoned by the President of the United States, on the 28th September 1865, which will appear by a copy of his warrant of pardon, herewith filed as part of this application, and that I have taken the amnesty oath, and accepted the pardon, which will also appear by copies of the same, filed herewith -
