remove his records, and having no business in the County without the records he left to engage in business as stated in his said application - that at the time he left Huntsville the place was occupied by Confederate troops and Genl Bragg was holding a large part of Tennessee - hence he says he did not leave the Federal lines, nor did he pass into the pretended Confederate States, as he did not leave his State, but only crossed the Tennessee River as stated in the said application - Hence he thinks the 10th clause could not be made to apply to him - Therefore he prays for the restoration of his said property.
