The Communication from Geo A Hammond Asst Supt Beaur [[Bureau]] of Freedman to you, and for'd by you to me has been rec'd  In reply I deny the charges of "Evident denial of Justice"
The facts are these.

Mr M Williams reported to me the Circumstances of the dificulty with Dick" which are these  The young man who he has imployd called to "Dick" to know why he did not come to his work. his reply was "go along I will come when I get ready, where upon he attempted to go in to see what he intended doing when "Dick" drew an ax and then a stick in a defiant atitude and was standing thus when Mr W entered.  I told Dick I would prosecute the Case if he desired but believed an action would
