     Hoping the matter was ended, as far as I was concerned, and that any further discussion of it would be had at Mobile by Judge Bragg & Genel Moody I was greatly surprised at the town of your reply to Mr. Rufsell.
     To carry out what I know to be the wishes of Judge Bragg, and at the same time avoid any complication. I again respectfully request that the whole matter, with the papers already forwarded, may be submitted to the Dept. Commander. Major Genl Moody. Judge Bragg claims this right under the provisions of the order issued by Major Genl Howard, Commissioner of the Bureau dated Washington, 22d Dec. 1865.
