Atlanta Ga March 9th 1866

Gen Swayne,

Dr Sir
I wrote to you a few days since requesting you to give me further aid to get the colored children Henry Ellen & Tracy, which you requested the Probate Judge of Pike Co Ala to let me have, and annul the order binding them out. My brother has just written to me that the children have been delivered up to him for me, and that he will have them in Montgomery soon to send to me. For your kind efforts in behalf of the unfortunate children, I return you my sincere thanks, and hope you may be well rewarded for your humanity. If consistent please give them transportation to this place.

Accept my assurances of respect
Yours &c. Robt Baugh
