Our School will close the 22th inst. We have some rooms assigned to us in the hospital for storing goods. The prospects for opening school & asylum dont seem to be very flattering. I propose to let the Colored people take charge of their own asylum & turn over our goods to them. I would like to have a Board of Managers appointed with you or its head as Pres. I must have some responsible party to turn the goods over to. What Suggestions have you to offer in regard to our interests here? The Sexton Bills of Mr. Fears I have not heard from. Can you pay them? He is frequently here to see about them. The American Miss[[?]] Association will take the interests of the N.U.&.C. in fall for this Dist. I think it is a good change & hope 'twill meet with your approval.
