it seems I ought to have as much priveledge as a Rebel Soldier! but if there is any Law to that effect in this State, I can't get hold of it, I surved but little time as a U.S. soldier in the War. But I served conciderable time as a labor in U.S. [[service?]] & I have my discharge papers from both, I would like to have the same right to peddle in the State of Ala. that the disabled confederate soldier has. I thought you to be the one for me to apply to. Pleas let me know what to do to get, the priviledge to peddle in this state, my address
