On the 31st of October 1866 I forwarded to you Reports of Persons employed in my Dept. for the month ending, for approval. 
They have not returned to this office yet, and when they do, they shall have to be sent to Capt. Grierson, Mobile for payment No rations have been issued to employees last month, they are badly in want of funds to purchase provisions to subsist on. My report to Genl Meigs. & Donalson await a copy of the this report.
