An appeal to your Head Quarters having been requested by Jas Rogers in the following case, and granted, I hereby have the honor to state the evidence and ask your decision at as early a day as practicable.
About 1 Jany last Tol (Friedman) made a verbal Contract with Jas Rogers including his wife Meley, Step daughter Amy aged 23 years and two small children, which contract about the 15 was reduced to writing and signed by the man Tol for his family.  Amy (who is contended for in this case) was then in Montgomery, and upon her return to B H Hughes (to whom the family belonged) found her family had hired to Rogers.  She went to Mr. Rogers', was told that her step Father had included her in the contract, and without assenting or dissenting, went to work, but did not sign her name - because not called on to do so, and as (she swore before the Court) she had not signed her name, she
