For the cause of suffering humanity & a friend to the Freedmen Tappal to you in their behalf to send a Physician to this place. the citizen Physician will not attend to them & if they do their hard earned wages is taken to pay their M. Bill I have known their clothes being taken from them to pay the Dr after their recovery, I write this to let you know the condition of affair, believing your kindness of heart will prompt you to send a Physician to this place
