commanding in said County, notified the respondent that he would place him in possession of his said Plantation in Limestone County & proceeded immediately to the Execution of the same
He would farther state that the said Plantation was not abandoned, that his residence was in said county & that the said plantation was never out of his charge & care tho forcibly occupied he & his family allways exercised a constant supervision & the parties occupying it came forward & in various ways acknowledged its ownership in the under signed this famiy - He has never been notified of any charge or libels & knows of no reason why the said Record should still stand upon the Books in the office of B. R. F. & A. L. in the District office at Huntsville and respectfully asks that the same be rescinded & expunged from said Books

The undersigned would farther state that he conformed to the Presidents Proclamation requiring the oath of Amnesty prescribed, 29th May 1865 & that subsequently under the $20.000 clause he took the same oath before Provost Marshal Gen Yorkhurst, Dept Cumberland & received from Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, a full partdon & Amnesty & now respectfully submits this his application for Relief
