James J Colt, John M Nuckolls [[strikethrough]] Mary [[strikethrough]]Lawlor[[/strikethrough]] Law, Fannie Steger, Garnett S.Nuckolls, & Virgil A Nuckolls, James Nuckolls, Albert Nuckolls, Shelley Nuckolls. These children [[strikethrough]]and [[/strikethrough]] are his only heirs at law. And his widow who is now Mary Lawler. These are the only persons who are entitled to share in the above abandoned lands.

He further shows that said James Nuckolls is now about seventeen 17 years of age, Albert Nuckolls about fifteen years of age and Shelley Nuckolls is about thirteen years of age. Neither of these three have been in any way participants in the late rebellion being too young to take any part therein.  The said Widow Mary and all the other children have each and for themselves taken the Amnesty oath promised by the proclamation [[strikethrough]]prescribed[[/strikethrough]]of the President of the United States. A copy of each of which is hereto annexed & promised to be taken as a part hereof By the laws of Alabama the daughters & widow of said Nuckolls took separate estate in said land, discharged of the rights & liabilities of their [[?]]lands  None of the children have property to the awards of Seventy thousand dollars.
