Respectfully forwarded to Maj. Gen Swayne Asst Com Bureau RF&AL Montgomery Ala
I have reason to believe that the within statement is correct and that Lt Gibson used a large portion of the corn, but for what purpose I cannot ascertain. He also drew from the Q. M. Dpt all the forage that the public animals were entitled to.
There was no fodder on the plantation when it was turned over to me,
Bvt. Maj. & Asst. Supt. Bureau R.F.&.A.L.
