Prattville March 6th 1866

Col. Cadle
Sir I have the honour to inform you that I was on yesterday reelected Magistrate by a much larger Majority than ever before. My enemies done all that men could do to defeat me among other things they charged me with was being and agt for the Freedmens Bureau and many other such little foolish things. I write you this to know if you wish me still to act as agent for the Bureau if so please write me immediately. I will make my report for last month in a few days-- I send you the votes at Robinson Springs, but not that you may know now I and my persecutors stand in the affection of the people. For Magistrate
