March 10th 1866 Respectfully referred to the County Judge of Lowndes County Ala. with the request that he will report as to whether the statement made within is correct, and if so, his attention is called to the Act of the Legislature passed at the late session and approved February 23rd 1866. By order of Bvt. Maj. Gen. Wager Swayne C Cadle Jr Bvt. Col. & A.A.Gen. Acting under the authority contained in Section 1215 of the code of Alabama, and on proof that the minor was the child of persons unable to provide for her support, on the 5th of March 1866, I apprenticed the within named Comelia to Dr. McLane until she arrives at the age of sixteen years, Not knowing at the time that the Legislature of the State had passed the Act approved Feby 23rd 1866.
