Columbus Ga. June 15th 1866.
Capt. Fred Mosebach: Sir I have the honor to apply for transportation to Montgomery Alabama, where I shall go to Elmore Fitzpatrick's plantation to be kindly cared for. I have had my leg broken, and have just recovered from the small pox. When in health I can support myself, and nothing but the most pressing necessity prompts this appeal.

Very Respectfully
