NOTICE
Mobile, Ala., Jan. 22, 1866.

Sealed Proposals are invited by the undersigned until 12 o'clock on FRIDAY, Feb. 9, 1866, for the purchase of three blockade running steamer vessels, the RED GAUNTLET, the VIRGIN and the Mary.  The Red Gauntlet and the Virgin are now lying in the port of Mobile; the Mary in the Tombigby river, near Memphis, Ala.
Proposals may be made for each vessel separately, and should be directed to the undersigned at Mobile, Ala., care of Col M D Wickerstam, Chief Quartermaster, Dep't of Alabama.
The right to reject all proposals is reserved.
A full description of said vessels can be seen at the office of Col G D Robbinson, Superintendent of Freedmen's Bureau for the District of Mobile, who will give permission to visit and inspect said vessels.
