Dear Sir:
I had the pleasure of an interview to-day with your Adjutant Col Wright, and took occasion to forward to you a copy of a letter I had just rec'd. from Mr Mellen. I am glad to inform you that I am therein ordered to turn over to you the three blockade runners, Virgin, Mary, & Red Gauntlett. You will perceive that I am directed on turning them over to take from you duplicate receipts, and I am desirous of doing so whenever it may suit your convenience to receive them, you reimbursing me for the monies I have advanced & expenses incurred.
