Sir,
I would respectfully request permission to visit Montgomery on the 2nd of December for the purpose of an interview with yourself in reference to purchasing some articles which are necessary at the Colony at Garland. If my application should meet your approval will you be so kind as to send me by mail transportation to and from this place to Montgomery
