Supt Bureau RF and AL
Montgomery Ala

Major
At this place there is a freedman who was for a long time in the employ of the Bureau but is at present out of employment and means having been for a long time quite sick. He has a good offer to live with a man he knows near Montgomery, but will have to move at his the freedmans expence, which will be impossible for him to do at present.

I would therefor respectfully request transportation for Edward Caldwell, his wife and one half grown boy from this place to Montgomery

Very Respectfully Your Obt Servt
