anxious to have him cleared, - as I am fully able to take care of him - and as he is the only child I have, and all the comfort that is left to me- my husband having been put in the Penitentiary under the charge of which he was convicted.  I would never have given my consent to have the child bound but for this unfortunate, and as it seemed to me helpless circumstance in which I was then placed.
I ask therefore your assistance in the matter that I may again recover my child.  I would further state that Mr. Wilson is a very poor man, with but one arm - and however much disposed he may be to provide for him.  I do not think that he has the ability to provide for him as he should be-
