Hd. Qrs. 111th U.S. Infy Murfreesboro Tenn. 13th Jany 1866 General I have the honor to request your signature to the enclosed discharge paper, if you can do so willingly. I have never yet received my discharge from the 43d Ohio, and it is with considerable delicacy that I now send to you for such a favor. My reason for desiring it at the present time is that we may soon be mustered out of the service and I shall not get it at all, and as there is a prospect of making the bounty for 1861 - 62 Vols. equal to others it may bring me a trifle. I am General Very respectfully Your obedient servant Dan. M. Page Adjutant 111 U.S.D. Brig. Gen W. Swayne Montgomery Ala.
