I have the honor to call your attention to the papers enclosed — submitted by Gen Bragg (Agent for J. Bragg) on the 3rd inst on the trials of right of property in the cases of Patrick, George Dick & Dallas, for Stock abandoned by U.S. Government

You will see from the statements of Gen Bragg, that the 6th article of the Contract made by Mr Buckley, was not accepted by John Bragg, but was promptly repudiated by him, which he, Gen B, was prepared to prove to him, by two of the "Freedmen", who were parties to the Contract, and on the place at the time the freedman returned from Montgomery

Besides this, he showed me a Letter from John Bragg to Maj Gen C.R. Woods of Mobile, calling his attention to the facts, that the freedman were contending for the Stock, and he called upon

over
