She then collared him and he caught her by the Throat & told her to let him loose or he would knock her down, she sais she would not do it and called to her Daughter, "Come on Mary, I've got him now," he then struck her with his Fist and knocked her over. She tore the gathers out of his shirt when he hit her. He then went off. He supposed she went to the Springs to report him to this office and he would have the whole matter investigated. She returned same evening, and next morning went to work and nothing more was said about the matter until he rec'd an order to appear before this court. The woman has been doing well since and he has had no further trouble with her. The girl Mary is lazy and careless and will not hold her plough with both hands, and is so aggravating and tripping
