I most respectfully add the following remarks, I have known Ben Rabirn for many years and I can testify, without reserve, to his kind and humane treatment of negroes, whom he has managed & controlled for great many years. This difficulty was settled amicably and satisfactorally by both parties and the negro woman has been doing well ever since. Both parties testify to those facts. Haskey & the woman both deny any knowledge of the letter and though by an extended investigation I could identify and prove the Handwriting. yet it would probably not be of any benefit.

I respectfully submit the above report for your consideration

Respectfully
