The only difficulty with the woman is that she will not suffer her children her children even mildly corrected, and if he reports them, she beats them cruelly, and he [[strikethrough]] will [[/strikethrough]] does not like to report them to her on that account. He whipped her Son once (10 years old) with a willow Switch, and when he caught the Girl by the Throat he did not hurt her, but by her collar shook her & reprimanded her for her carelessness.

A M Griswold being called and sworn, says, That his Brother R.W. Griswold bought this woman Cersy and gave to his Sister in Georgia, She kept her a short time and sent her Brother round to come & get her as she could not have her - could do nothing with her. He went after her & took her to his home. Deponent has known her for 5 or 6 years and she has always been very high tempered & uncontrollable. Deponent advised her Christmas as to her temper & told her if she did not do [[strikethrough]] know [[/strikethrough]] better she would make wishing for no
