I have the honor to inform you that the A.A. Quartermaster and Actg. Comy of Susistance at this Post have received Orders to ship immediately for Selma. All the stores now remaining in their possession - I would respectfully ask what steps are necessary to be taken So as to be able to supply with Rations and Forage in the most Convenient manner, the Refugees and Destitute Freedmen on the Govt Colony of this Dist. and the Public Criminals in the possession of Lt. O'Connor.
Instructions relative to this matter, I most earnestly desire.
